Lagging behind a lil bit
Well, I failed to get some pics of all my dad's stuff. I'm going to try to get a bunch so I can start the process of talking about the snowmobile memorabilia. Hopefully I have some posts this weekend!

Vintage Snowmobilia
I am thinking that I might get into talking about snowmobilia, or the collecting of vintage snowmobile memorabilia. I have purchased over 300 different items from swap meets, shows, and eBay.
The only items which I do not really focus on are pamphlets, manuals, brochures, and clothing. I love to try to find rare and interesting snowmobile related items.
I only know a lot about this because I purchase it all for my dad. He is the collector, but I love to be the searcher. My dad has somewhere around 25 snowmobiles ranging from the early '60's rear engine Polaris' and Arctic Cats, up to just a couple modern 2009 sleds for riding up north every weekend in the winter. He also has the collection of memorabilia which I have purchased for him, and he, himself, collects clothing and brochures.
My main focus was on vintage snowmobile oil for the longest time, but I think we probably have at least 90% of the oil out there. I very rarely find an oil bottle that we don't have, and when I do find it, it is very pricey because everyone else knows it's rare. We have oil, gas cans, games, toys, records, signs, and many other types of advertising. I would love to find more for him.
I think that I will talk about one or more items at a time in this blog. That sounds like a good idea. Sounds better than talking about talent shows and whatever else junk I think about.
